MSDC believes in providing choices for individuals with disabilities. What is right for one person is not necessarily right for another. Empowering the individuals we serve includes providing supported living, employment support, and a place in the community.
MSDC promotes young children’s development while providing parents support and encouragement.
We provide Early Head Start (ages 0-3 years old) and Head Start (3-5 years old) for children of all abilities.
Our Early Childhood Education Center and Technical Training Cooperative offer juniors and seniors in high school a professional dual credit pathway to institutions of higher learning.

NEWS: FSSA Grant Invests in Direct Support Professionals (DSP)
FSSA is issuing Marshall-Starke Development Center funding to support our direct service workforce. We plan to use the funding in the following way to invest in our Direct Support Professionals (DSP):
Retention bonuses: To provide support to our workforce, we plan to issue bonuses to eligible DSP’s.
These bonuses will be paid out in six installments between now and the end of the year on the following schedule.
February 16 th for eligible employees that have been employed for at least 90 days on January 1.
April 13 th for eligible employees that have been employed for at least 90 days on April 1.
July 20 th for eligible employees that have been employed for at least 90 days on July 1.
August 17 th for eligible employees that were employed on January 1 and are still employed on July 1.
October 12 th for eligible employees that were employed on April 1 and are still employed on October 1.
December 14 th for eligible employees that were employed on July 1 and are still employed on October 1.
